Shootout in Pasco neighborhood was likely ‘targeted attack,’ say police
Police are searching for several people who opened fire at each other Monday afternoon in a west Pasco neighborhood. One man was believe wounded in the exchange that police say was likely a targeted attack.
Several people showed up outside a house on Robert Wayne Drive near Sunny Meadows Park at 4:30 p.m. looking for a man who lived in the area, Pasco police said in a Facebook post.
The man came out of a home and confronted the group, and the argument soon erupted into gunfire, said Sgt. Rigo Pruneda.
After the shooting the group left in two cars.
A parked car was hit by at least one bullet during the exchange, police said. Investigators also found several shell casings on the road.
Hours later, a man with a gunshot wound in his upper leg showed up at the Kadlec Regional Medical Center emergency room in Kennewick. He claimed he was shot in another location.
Police are still trying to determine if he was connected with the Robert Wayne Drive shooting.
