Highway 395 construction zone crash causes 2-mile traffic backup

A Kahlotus woman was driving too fast when her SUV ran into the back of a car in a Highway 395 construction zone Tuesday.

Molly A. Robitaille, 42, was heading south in a Ford Escape through an area through a construction area about four miles north of Pasco when she ran into the back of a Buick Cascada about 2 p.m., said the Washington State Patrol.

Robitaille and the other driver, Gary A. Cripps, 72, of Milwaukee, Ore., were treated at local hospitals.

The state patrol cited Robitaille for driving too fast for the conditions.

The wreck and the investigation caused a two-mile backup in the area Tuesday afternoon, Franklin County Fire District 3 posted on Facebook.
