Pasco motorcyclist hospitalized after Kennewick roundabout crash

A motorcyclist ended up at the hospital after losing control of his bike at a Columbia Drive roundabout.

Kody S. Simmons, 31, of Pasco, was going too fast when he reached the intersection of Highway 240, Highway 395 and Columbia Drive just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, said the Washington State Patrol.

His Victory High Ball cycle collided with a Toyota Corolla.

Simmons was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital. His condition was not immediately available.

The other driver, Joseph T. Derousie, 42, of West Richland, was not hurt.

Simmons was cited for driving too fast.

The crash blocked the normally busy roundabout while emergency crews.
