Pasco police search for man with singed hair and missing eyebrows

Pasco police are searching for an arson suspect likely with singed hair and missing eyebrows.

A home security camera captured a massive fireball and flames engulfing a car after the suspect appeared to ignite something in the back seat early Sunday morning.

Police soon discovered the 2010 Chrysler Sebring had been stolen from Richland a few hours earlier.

The suspect, who can be seen leaning into an open back door shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday, turns and runs away after the explosion lights up the neighborhood.

“We are guessing the suspect will have singed hair and is possibly missing some eyebrow hair. He may have even suffered burns to his hands or face,” Pasco police posted on Facebook.

Pasco firefighters quickly put out the flames in the damaged car on the 400 block of South 23rd Avenue in Pasco.

Anyone with information on the stolen car or the arson suspect email officer Acock at acockc@pasco-wa.gov reference PPD Arson case 20-11449, or call dispatch at 509-628-0333.
