Drunk dirt bike rider possibly suffers head injury in crash, troopers say

A Mabton man was drunk when he veered into the oncoming lane on his dirt bike and crashed into another rider, police say.

Garrett K. Corlis, 25, was riding a SSR 125cc bike east on Farm Lane about three miles south of Grandview when he veered into the oncoming lane and hit another dirt bike, the Washington State Patrol said.

Corlis was rushed to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland with a head injury. His condition was not immediately available. The other rider, James K. Beaumont, 56, of Ellensburg, was not hurt.

Neither man was wearing a helmet.

WSP cited Corlis with DUI.
