Teen’s body found in storage room. Franklin County deputies believe he was shot

Franklin County sheriff’s detectives are investigating a Saturday afternoon homicide in Eltopia.

The body of a 19-year-old man was found in the storage room of a home about 12:30 p.m., Commander Rick Rocheau said in a news release.

The teen’s name has yet to be released because officials are still trying to contact his family, said the release.

Investigators suspect he’d been shot but an autopsy is pending.

Rochleau said three people have been arrested on unrelated charges and are being questioned about the death. Other persons of interest have been identified but were not named Sunday.

The Washington State Patrol Crime Response Team was helping collect evidence at the home.
