Benton deputies hunting for suspect after convenience store robbery

Sheriff’s deputies are hunting for a robber in Benton City who held up a convenience store Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies were called to the Ninth Street store shortly after 4:30 p.m. after a man wearing a white bandanna over his face ran from the store, according to initial reports.

The suspect is described a taller man wearing a gray had and a long sleeve maroon shirt, blue jeans and black gloves.

They have surrounded the area and called in a police dog to help search for the suspect.
