Pasco burglar’s hiding spot wasn’t good enough. He was eye-to-eye with a police dog

A Pasco resident got lucky on Friday when they arrived home in time to see a burglar crawling through their window.

The victim called 911 after seeing the person breaking in through a broken window on the 900 block of South Fourth Lane, said Pasco police.

When Officer Brad Leininger arrived, his police dog, K9 Jucon, tracked Nacho Ramos-Canuto, 32, to a basement bedroom where he was hiding under a bed.

Jucon grabbed him by the forearm and dragged him out, said police.

Ramos-Canuto of Pasco was taken to Lourdes Medical Center to be treated for the dog bite, and was later booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of residential burglary.
