Woman killed in Kennewick roundabout crash identified
A 29-year-old Pasco woman was killed after speeding through a Kennewick roundabout, jumping across a creek and flying through two backyards.
Police arrived in the area of the 9300 block of West Ninth Place about 2:45 a.m. after a gray Jeep landed in a backyard.
Bricia Villasenor-Botello was driving on West 10th Avenue toward the roundabout at Steptoe Street when she lost control.
The Jeep plowed through in the roundabout, hit the sidewalk and launched at least 150 feet in the air, crossing over the east fork of Amon Creek, which is used as an irrigation wasteway for the Kennewick Irrigation District.
Her Jeep rolled through a fence, across a backyard and through a second fence before landing in the backyard of a house on West Ninth Place.
Villasenor-Botello, who was wearing a seat belt and still in her Panda Express uniform, died at the scene. It’s unclear whether she died from injuries from the crash or had a medical condition beforehand.
Kennewick police say there is no indication that alcohol was a factor.
Her Facebook profile says she worked as an assistant manager at Panda Express and went to Pasco High School.
