A shooter killed the power in Finley. Deputies want to know who did it
A shooter killed the power to about 300 customers on Thursday night, and deputies are trying to find who did it.
Benton County sheriff’s investigators are searching for anyone who heard or saw anything in the area of Meals Road and Toothaker Road shortly before 7:45 p.m.
That’s when someone fired at utility poles and power lines causing enough damage to trigger problems in an underground electrical line.
It took Benton PUD crews nearly two hours to find the problem and start fixing it. They were able to bring the power back up to everyone by midnight, the Benton PUD said.
When deputies went out to the area, they found shell casings and bullet holes, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
