Richland police searching for shooter after a man was wounded near some apartments

Richland police are hunting for a shooter who left a man wounded on Greentree Court late Tuesday.

Officers are still investigating what happened on the 300 block after finding a man with a gunshot wound in his upper leg shortly after 9:30 p.m., said Sgt. Drew Florence.

The man was rushed to a local hospital. His injury was not life-threatening, said police.

It appears the man was shot while he was on the street near some apartments.

Investigators believe the shooter knows the victim.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Richland police through the non-emergency dispatch number, 509-628-0333.
