Kennewick police searching for burglar after 1 arrest in Goodwill store break-in

A pair of crooks decided to raid a Goodwill store for Saturday morning in Kennewick.

Two people got into the building on Columbia Center Boulevard around 4:15 a.m. and set off alarms, Kennewick police said. When officers arrived, they discovered the latch on a side door had been taped over, which prevented it from closing.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether the tape was placed there before the break-in or during it.

Police searched the building with the help of a police dog, and the surveillance camera footage was pulled. The video showed the man and woman inside of the store.

Around the same time, a pickup was spotted leaving from behind the building. Officers stopped it and spotted items from the Goodwill inside of it. The driver, Tricia Werner, 38, was arrested and booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of burglary.

Investigators are looking for the second burglar. He is was described as wearing a two-tone jacket.
