Pasco police are looking for a man who couldn’t keep his hands to himself in the Albertson’s checkout line.

A woman was in the self-checkout line of the 20th Avenue store around 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve when she had her bottom slapped by a man who said, “I just had to,” before walking on, Pasco police said on Facebook.

She called police the next day, and Officer Josh Madsen found video of the slap on the store’s security camera.

Pasco police shared pictures of the 5-foot-5 man in a gray hooded sweatshirt and had a scruffy beard.

Any unwanted touching can be considered an misdemeanor assault, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to reach Pasco police through the non-emergency dispatch line at 509-628-0333 or email Madsen at madsenj@pasco-wa.gov.
