A robber beat a Pasco woman with a tire iron when she stopped to wash her car

Pasco police are asking for help finding a robber who to beat a woman with a tire iron before taking her jacket and purse.

The man was washing his blue car at the Bear Wash at 20th Avenue and Shoshone Street about 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving when the woman pulled in to clean her car, Pasco police said on Facebook.

A 35-year-old woman pulled into a neighboring stall and began washing her car when the man attacked.

He hit her twice in the face with a tire iron, or possibly a crow bar, and grabbed her black Adidas jacket and large red purse before he drove off.

She saw his blue car drive away on 20th Avenue toward Lewis Street.

The woman was left with a gash on her forehead that required stitches and a swollen cheek.

The robber was described as 5-foot-11 and about 30 years old. He was dressed in a dark hoodie and dark pants.

If you have any information about the robbery, police ask you to call 509-628-0333 and reference case number 19-37481.
