New Horizons High School lockdown lifted after gun threat
One person was detained by police Thursday after a report of someone having a gun at New Horizons High School.
A witness reported a student bragged about having a gun at the school, according to Pasco police reports.
It’s not clear whether the student had a gun, but police reported questioning a person.
The school was locked down around 2:05 p.m. while officers searched the school, Pasco School District officials said on Facebook. After 35 minutes the lockdown was lifted.
Students were released for the day at 3 p.m.
