He was burglarized once. The second time he was ready
The owner of a Walnut Avenue garage wasn’t going to be a victim a second time.
After burglars sneaked into his detached garage last week, the owner bought an alarm system and set it up, Pasco police said.
Then about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, the alarm sounded.
The owner shut it off and called police. As officers arrived and surrounded the garage, a 17-year-old teen darted out of the garage’s back door and jumped the fence into an adjoining lot.
That lot happened to be surrounded by a barbed-wire fence and with officers waiting on the other side.
When he spotted the officers, the teen gave up and was booked into the Benton-Franklin Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
