Richland police investigate early Wednesday attack
Richland police are hunting for a man who entered an apartment and attacked a woman Wednesday morning.
The woman’s children called 911 to report their mother was being hit around 4 a.m. in the apartment on the 300 block of Van Giesen Street, Sgt. Drew Florence said.
The man hit the woman at least once before leaving. She had minor injuries, Florence said.
It’s unclear whether the man and woman knew each other or what prompted the attack.
Police officers and a dog scoured the area for about 20 minutes.
Florence said the man was described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and a white hoodie.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Richland Police Department at 509-628-0333 and reference case number 17-28768.
