Woman arrested after shooting at man south of Kennewick

A 31-year-old Benton County woman is in jail after sheriff’s officials say she shot at a man Sunday.

Alexandria F. Babcock fired at the 27-year-old man, who then barricaded himself inside the home’s garage on the 63000 block of East 99 Private Road SE, according to the sheriff’s office. No one was hurt.

Deputies arrested Babcock on suspicion of first-degree assault. She was taken to the Benton County jail.

Property records show Babcock used to live on the block. It’s unclear if the man inside the garage also owned the home or what started the confrontation.
