A suggestion for people inside stolen cars — don’t fall asleep.

Kennewick police were called at 1:35 p.m. on Friday about a suspicious pickup that was parked and running near a building on the 400 block of South Quincy Street.

Officers found Tyler Davenport, 26, sleeping inside the Ford F-150.

Someone had swiped pickup from Pasco earlier in the day.

Police blocked the pickup in with two patrol SUVs, then woke Davenport.

Officers booked Davenport into Benton County jail for outstanding felony warrants.
