UPDATE: Dead bird on Pasco playground leads to lockdown

Robert Frost Elementary School in Pasco was locked down for about an hour on Monday after a student found a dead bird.

The bird was discovered in the play area next to the school during recess. It’s unclear if the student saw the bird get shot or found the animal.

The school was locked at 2:20 p.m. as officers investigated and reopened at 3:15 p.m. about 15 minutes after the class normally ends. Students were then sent home.
