This Kennewick woman brought a meth pipe to a shoplift spree

A methamphetamine addict took her pipe along when she went shoplifting Wednesday afternoon in Kennewick, said police.

Melissa Mokler, 31, of Kennewick, tucked the glass pipe into her purse when she walked into Craft Warehouse on Canal Drive. Employees spotted her trying to hide items in her purse and stopped her when she was trying to leave, said Kennewick Officer Roman Trujillo.

When police arrived, they searched the purse and discovered the pipe with alleged meth residue inside.

She was booked into the Benton County jail for meth possession.
