Driver slid on ice near Connell, landed in hospital

An early morning crash sent one man to the hospital after he drove off Highway 395 near Connell.

Jackson Sayaosa, 36, of Kennewick, was about three miles north of the city when he lost control of his Toyota Tundra on a patch of ice and drove off of the highway. The pickup rolled and landed on its top about 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, the Washington State Patrol said.

Sayaosa was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco with unknown injuries.

WSP troopers said Sayaosa was driving too fast for the highway conditions.
