An SUV owner helped catch the man trying to steal his vehicle in Kennewick.
The man was leaving work at 6 p.m. Monday in the 8600 block of West Clearwater Avenue when he and a friend spotted a man trying to steal his Ford Explorer, Kennewick police Officer Trever Davis said.
The two pinned the thief inside of the vehicle and held him there until police arrived, Davis said.
The suspect, Korhnel Burkett, 22, was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
