A Pasco man suspected of drunk driving took “drive thru” a bit too literally early Sunday morning in Prosser.

Jason R. Cruz-Barrera, 19, was heading home from Grandview along Wine Country Road when he lost control of his Chevy Silverado pickup at 12:37 a.m.

The truck careened off the road and down the embankment before slamming into the drive thru menu sign at Starbucks.

Both the truck and the sign were totaled. No one was hurt.

Cruz-Barrera was booked into the Benton County jail on investigation of DUI.
