Second bank robbed in Tri-Cities. Pasco police on the hunt
Two days after a bank robbery in Kennewick, a robber with a similar MO struck at Yakima Federal Savings in Pasco on Monday.
A man wearing a dark gray hoodie walked into the bank at the corner of Road 36 and West Court Street and handed the teller a note demanding money.
The teller handed over cash, and he left.
Police officials said the suspect was 5-foot-5 and wearing light jeans and a gray sweatshirt.
It’s unclear whether this is connected to Saturday’s robbery at Gesa Credit Union on North Huntington Street in Kennewick. That man held a demand note.
Kennewick police have released a photo of the suspect in Saturday’s robbery at the Gesa Credit Union on North Huntington Street.
The image, which appears to be from a security camera, shows a man in a dark hoodie, a Seahawks hat and a surgical mask at a bank counter. He’s holding an envelope with writing on it.
Police say the man entered the Gesa branch at about 11:30 a.m. and approached a teller with a sign demanding money. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.
