Pornographic smash and grab ends at Kennewick motel

A burglar wanted his pornography the old-fashioned way, but didn’t want to pay for it.

An alarm alerted Kennewick police to a break-in at the Castle Megastore on North Columbia Center Boulevard shortly after midnight Monday morning. When officers arrived, they found the glass in the front door was broken.

Cody Williamson, 20, allegedly stole some DVDs from inside and fled before police arrived.

Witnesses reported seeing the man running north.

Officers found Williamson trying to hide in the lobby of the nearby Super 8 Motel.

He was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary.
