Thief steals loaded gun from a Pasco car. The owner let it happen again
Vehicle prowlers won’t leave a Pasco gun owner alone.
Pasco police wrote on Facebook that the city has been stung by a series of vehicle prowls during the past couple of weeks.
Many of the victims are leaving their doors unlocked.
In one of the recent cases, thieves stole a loaded handgun from an unlocked car.
Pasco police said it was the second time the owner had left a loaded gun in their car and had it stolen.
A public information officer said he did not have details on the thefts.
Kennewick police also had a gun-related car prowl this past weekend.
Police booked Brandon Disch, 24, Saturday on suspicion of theft of a firearm. The stolen Glock pistol was recovered.
“Please if you must keep a firearm or other valuable in your car, lock it up,” Pasco police said. “Better yet, do not leave them in your vehicle.”
