Rollover snarls traffic on Highway 395 in Kennewick

Fire and police officials investigate the scene of Wednesday's two-vehicle collision involving a truck and mini-van in the northbound lanes of Highway 395 near Yelm Street in Kennewick. Police say the female van driver collided with the front of the truck while attempting to pull into traffic on the two-lane roadway from a merge lane. The mini-van spun out, struck the center barrier and rolled before coming to rest on its wheels in the ditch facing the opposite direction. Trooper Daniel Mosqueda of the Washington State Patrol said the van driver will be cited for an improper lane change. No one was injured.

A woman clipped a delivery truck and rolled her minivan Wednesday on Highway 395 in Kennewick.

No one was hurt in the crash that happened at the intersection of the highway and Yelm Street.

The minivan driver turned off of Yelm Street to head toward Pasco on the highway shortly before noon.

As the highway narrowed, she collided with a delivery truck next to her.

The collision sent her into the concrete barrier in the middle of the highway, and her minivan rolled.

It stopped in the grass on the other side of the road.

At least one lane was closed as the Washington State Patrol investigated the crash, causing traffic delays.

The minivan’s driver was cited for making an improper lane change, Trooper Daniel Mosqueda said.
