Franklin County deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who led them on a high-speed chase Tuesday morning.

The pursuit started on Interstate 182 near the Road 68 exit at 5:55 a.m., when a deputy tried to stop a motorcycle, the sheriff’s office said on its Facebook page.

Deputies pursued him, but couldn’t catch him before the rider parked the bike at a house 4500 block of Desert Drive, and ran south through an empty field toward El Paso Street.

Deputies checked the area and couldn’t find him.

The bike’s owner said he loaned it to man named William Wisniewski.

Anyone with information about the bike’s rider is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 509-545-3501.
