Found: Missing Pasco woman located in Seattle
A Pasco woman missing for more than a week was found in downtown Seattle.
Rebecca “Anna” Amoureux, 22, was discovered by family members after she disappeared Nov. 1 in the area of Fifth Avenue and James Street downtown.
Her sister, Elvis Tess Amoureux, told the Herald she was found in good health.
She had been staying with her sister in Kenmore when she apparently got arrested on Halloween for a criminal trespassing incident in Seattle.
She was released early the next day from the King County Correctional Facility on Fifth Avenue, where a friend or relative planned to pick her up but she couldn’t be found. Her family worried because she has a medical condition and was not familiar with the area.
Amoureux graduated from Chiawana High School in 2014 and had worked as a cashier at JCPenney, according to her Facebook page.
Vicky Hyde, a family friend and teacher at Chiawana, invited the teen to stay in her home for six months in 2014.
“She has been volunteering for me as a (speech) judge since she graduated in 2014,” Hyde told the Herald. “She’s very smart, very interested in social justice and human rights issues, and she loves animals.”
A Twitter post by Seattle police about her disappearance prompted a bevy of responses from news outlets, relatives and friends.
