Pasco police investigate threat to Pasco High School

Pasco police responded to a threat made against Pasco High School on Tuesday.

Investigators determined the threat, made at about 5 p.m., was not credible.

“The person reported to be responsible for the threat has been identified by police, and it has been determined that the threat no longer exists,” the Pasco School District said in a release Tuesday night.

The district said classes and activities will continue Wednesday as scheduled, but additional police and staff will be around Pasco High School.

Pasco police confirmed it deemed the situation safe for staff and students.

The police department and school district remained in close communication throughout the night, both agencies reported.

No other details were released Tuesday night.
