Woman trying to swipe clothes, ends up wearing jail jumpsuit

An Oregon woman accused of trying to steal clothes worth $2,000 at Macy’s, ended up with a Benton County jail jumpsuit instead.

Juanisha Spicer, 29, of Salem, was with another woman Sunday at Columbia Center mall in Kennewick when they tried to walk out of Macy’s carrying armloads of clothing, said Kennewick police.

When employees tried to stop them, the women allegedly threw the clothes at the employees and tried to run, said Officer Kirk Nebeker.

The other woman slipped away, but employees caught Spicer and called police.

Officers reportedly finding cocaine in her purse after arresting her.

Spicer was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of second-degree theft and cocaine possession.

Nebeker said officers had been looking for Spicer after she allegedly skipped out on her bill at Denny’s the day before.
