One injured in collision at busy Kennewick intersection
A driver allegedly slid into a busy Kennewick intersection causing a collision that left one person injured.
Brian M. Kilbury, 72, of Kennewick, was driving a Ford Mustang north on Highway 395 at 11:11 a.m. Sunday. He was approaching the intersection with Clearwater Avenue when the traffic light turned red.
He slid into the instersection and hit a Chevrolet Trailblazer heading east, Washington State Patrol said.
The Trailblazer’s driver, Bernardino T. Mendoza, 54, of Kennewick, was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital. Kilbury was not injured.
The collision caused traffic delays as vehicles were moved out of the road.
WSP cited Kilbury for failing to obey the traffic light.
