Richland luring suspect released without charges

A Richland man arrested on suspicion of trying to lure two girls in a Richland park has been released without charges.

Police are still investigating what happened in Goethals Park on Sept. 9, said Richland police Lt. Chris Lee. The agency plans to submit its report to Benton County prosecutors to decide if charges are warranted.

Michael Young, 51, was released earlier this week from the Benton County jail. He was arrested after a woman at the park with her own kids thought Young’s conversation with the girls was inappropriate and called authorities.
