A driver left an important clue behind when he plowed into a parked car and drove away — his license plate.

Ramon Jaimes-Galvez, 36, of Pasco, allegedly drove his black GMC Envoy SUV into the back of a car at 2:39 a.m. Tuesday on Highland Street near Sycamore Avenue.

His damaged license plate, grill and other parts were left behind on the pavement.

The plate led officers to Jaimes-Galvez and the damaged SUV at 3:07 a.m. He was arrested on suspicion of hit and run and taken to the Franklin County jail.
