Tip for parents: Snap a photo before going to Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo
Take a picture of your child if you’re going to the Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo this week.
The West Richland Police Department offered that advice to parents going to the event. Missing children is one of the most common calls law enforcement gets during similar events.
Officers collect the name, age and description, but a picture can be a helpful tool.
“This provides officers with the exact clothing and personal appearance of your child and doesn’t rely on your memory during that stressful event,” West Richland police wrote on its Facebook page.
