Kennewick police were called about a baby owl found in the road Tuesday night.

Officers found a baby eastern screech owl near the intersection of East Second Avenue and South Washington Street, according to Kennewick police.

The owl was collected in a box and handed off to Blue Mountain Wildlife, a Pendleton, Ore.-based organization that rescues and rehabilitates wild animals, while providing education to the public.
