State patrol pursuit ends with West Richland spike strips
A pursuit by the Washington State Patrol ended with spike strips in West Richland early Sunday morning.
As patrol officers pursuing the pickup entered the town, West Richland officers put out spike strips on Keene Road, according to West Richland police.
The pickup came to a stop at the south end of Belmont Boulevard with three flat tires, according to police reports.
The driver sat in the pickup for several hours, refusing to get out, before complying with officers.
West Richland police report that the driver was from Oregon and had an outstanding warrant for alleged rape, possession of stolen firearms and making threats to get himself killed by police.
