Car hit by train in Finley Friday night

A 21-year-old man survived with only broken bones after his car was hit by a train in Finley late Friday night.

The man’s Honda CRV stalled on the tracks crossing Toothaker Road near Hover Park about 11:30 p.m., according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. The driver’s name was not immediately available Saturday.

The man, who was thrown from his car, was taken to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, according to officials who responded.
