Early morning fire burns Pasco 4-plex
An early morning fire on Saturday destroyed one unit of a four-unit apartment building in Pasco and left the other three with smoke and water damage.
The fire likely started in the kitchen of one of the second-floor apartments at 2217 W. Henry Place, according to the Pasco Fire Department. It was called in by a resident at 3:27 a.m.
The cause had not been determined by midday Saturday.
Pasco police, who made sure the building was evacuated, said the fire spread to the electrical power supply at the back of the building. It rained sparks down on the yard before the fire was extinguished.
No one was injured, but many of the residents’ possessions were ruined, according to police.
