Angry customer tries to steal tip jar from Kennewick pizza parlor

Kennewick police are looking for a woman after she allegedly tried to steal a Domino’s Pizza tip jar on Friday.

The woman entered the store at about 6:40 p.m. on Oct. 21 at 2 E. First St. and told staff she was unhappy with her pizza from the day before, said Kennewick police.

“She had not been in the store and was not being truthful about her claim. Then a gracious citizen bought her a pizza,” stated police.

The woman allegedly grabbed the tip jar and put it under her sweatshirt, trying to leave with it and the free pizza. The jar fell onto the floor and shattered before she left.

Police said she drove away in a car with Arizona license plates.

Anyone with more information is asked to call Kennewick police at 509-628-0333.
