Couch falls from pickup bed, causes 6-car collision on blue bridge in Pasco
A Pasco woman was injured after a couch fell from a pickup truck bed Wednesday and caused a six-car collision on the blue bridge.
The couch came loose from a 2001 Chevy S-10 pickup truck driven by Lucia Gonzalez, 55, of Pasco, about 5:30 p.m. on the Pasco side of the bridge, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Pamela J. Wise, 69, of Pasco, was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion that was hit by three other cars, the state patrol said. She was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick. Her condition was not immediately known.
Traffic was backed up and lanes blocked on Highway 395 until about 6 p.m., Pasco police said.
The state patrol cited Gonzalez for loss of load. No one else was injured.
