Police, fire and gas company crews worked quickly to patch up a gas leak from a broken pipe Thursday afternoon in Pasco.

The leak was reported about 5:30 p.m. near Road 72 and Maxim Court. Homes at Maxim Court and Alderman Court and a strip mall at Road 68 and Argent Road were evacuated, said Franklin Fire District 3 officials.

Roads reopened and evacuations were lifted about 5:50 p.m., fire officials said. It’s not clear what caused the leak.
