Woman arrested for alleged impaired driving throws up in Kennewick police car

An intoxicated Kennewick woman threw up in a police patrol car after her arrest the night of Sept. 20, police said.

Police stopped Shannon Cherile Quijada, 23, on Canal Drive about 1 a.m. and had her perform a sobriety test before arresting her.

Officers then took Quijada to Trios Southridge Hospital for a medical check before she was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of DUI.

Staff at the Benton County jail helped clean the car, police said.
