93-year-old Kennewick man injured after driving past red light at intersection

Howard House, 93, was heading west in a white sedan about 8 a.m. on West Fourth Avenue toward South Morain Street when he blew past a red light. He then slammed into an oncoming red minivan crossing the intersection from north on Morain, police said.

An elderly man was injured after he drove past a red light at a Kennewick intersection on Saturday.

Howard House, 93, of Kennewick, was westbound in a white sedan about 6 p.m. on West Fourth Avenue toward South Morain Street when he blew past a red light and slammed into a red minivan, police said.

Howard was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for a broken sternum.

The woman driving the minivan, whose name was not released, was not hurt.
