Loaded gun among items stolen from car in Kennewick

A loaded gun was among the items stolen Monday morning from several cars in Kennewick.

The rash of vehicle prowls happened on the 3000 block of Volland Court and the 4000 block of Olson Place. The suspects stole personal items, checkbooks and a loaded handgun, police said.

Police encourage residents to remove anything of value out of their cars at night and remember to lock their doors.
