The roof of a Kennewick home collapsed after an apparent electrical fire broke out Thursday night.

The fire started about 8 p.m. at 8510 W. Yellowstone Ave., causing severe damage to the manufactured home’s attic and roof and smoke damage in the house, said Kennewick fire Battalion Chief Mikal Barnett.

Crews from Kennewick, Richland, Benton Fire District 1 and Kennewick police helped tackle the blaze.

The exact cause is still under investigation, Barnett said.

Family members will stay with relatives while repairs are made. No one was injured.
