City project repairs hillside erosion damage along Canal Drive in Kennewick

An excavator operated by Kennewick city employee Josh Soggie drops a load of rock Wednesday onto a hillside at the dead end of North Underwood Street, near the Highway 395 overpass on West Canal Drive in Kennewick. Heavy rainstorms in May washed part of the dirt face of the hill onto Canal Drive. The project is to repair the storm damage and as well as prevent erosion from future storm runoff.
