Salvation Army seeking back-to-school donations for students
The Salvation Army and local businesses are working together to provide school supplies to children in the Tri-Cities through Aug. 19.
School supplies can dropped off for donation from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Pasco Salvation Army office, 310 N. 4th Ave.
Other dropoff locations include Key Bank, Bank of the West, Windermere Real Estate in Kennewick, Umqua, Yakima Federal, Banner Bank, US Bank, Columbia River Bank, Shopko stores in Kennewick and Prosser, Cricket Wireless stores in Kennewick and Pasco, and Fred Meyer stores.
Supplies needed are pens, pencils, folders, peechees, three-ring binders, crayons, markers, erasers, glue, glue sticks, scissors and backpacks.
To receive supplies for children, call the Salvation Army Tri-Cities social services at 509-547-2138 on Aug. 3. Children may only be signed up by phone.
