Tri-City restaurant inspections through July 29

The Benton-Franklin Health District’s food safety team inspects more than 1,000 licensed food service establishments up to three times yearly, or more often if the establishment receives 25 or more red points on its initial report.

All establishments that sell food are subject to inspection. They are evaluated on a zero to 418-point scale, with zero being the best.

Establishments that receive 25 or more red points for the more serious violations are inspected again within 30 days. Blue points are awarded for less serious issues that do not require immediate correction. They do not count toward the re-inspection requirement.

The establishments below will be re-inspected based on their recent reports.

• Old Country Buffet, 6821 W. Canal Drive, Kennewick, July 25, second follow up, 35 red points.
• River Cafe, 3000 George Washington Way, Richland, July 28, routine, 35 red points, no blue.
• 7 Eleven, 1504 W. Sylvester St., Pasco, July 26, routine, 30 red points, no blue.
• Wendy’s, 2311 W. Court St., Pasco, July 26, routine, 30 red points, no blue.
• McDonald’s, 2751 Queensgate, Richland, July 26, routine, 30 red points, five blue points.
• Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, 8524 W. Gage Blvd., Kennewick, July 26, follow up, 25 red points.
• Dust Devils First Base, 6200 Burden Blvd., Pasco, July 25, routine, 25 red points.
